Meet Our Founder

Laura is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who believes in creating a warm, empathic, non-judgmental therapeutic space for her clients. She is an integrative therapist who incorporates multiple modalities, such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Person-Centered and Psychodynamic theory. She has a passion for holistic, mind-body perspectives, such as mindfulness, to assist clients in their positive growth. As a result of Laura enjoying balancing emotion regulation skill building and open-ended talk therapy, she is able to meet her clients where they are and move them toward where they would like to be.

Through her years of working with clients, Laura believes that people can access their internal strength and knowledge if given tools and support to realize their own potential and power. She enjoys walking alongside her clients as they overcome pain and obstacles in order to live a happier, healthier, and more meaningful life.

Laura received her Masters of Arts in Counseling from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. During her time there, she facilitated a DBT group focused on building emotion regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance and interpersonal relationship skills. Laura’s experience working in cross cultural settings gives her an appreciation for diverse perspectives and experiences.
